Eat well, get active
Physical activity together with healthy eating promote strong bones, a healthy weight, strength, coordination, self confidence and improves mood and learning. However sometimes it's difficult to know just how much children need to eat and the types of activities that are best for them to promote a healthy lifestyle.
These sessions consist of up to six inventions that will support you to help your child develop a healthier way of being.
The sessions will be carried out by a qualified member of the school health team and are usually weekly but would be planned to fit the needs of you and your child.
Session one is a holistic assessment completed with you and focuses on aspects of your child’s life that you would like support with.
Sessions will be split between you and your child depended on their age. Each session would last about 30 minutes and be over a virtual platform, either in school or at home.
The sessions could cover subjects such as healthy eating, the eat well plate, snack swaps, portion sizes, sleep and its impact on health, recommended physical activity, games and advice.
